Built in 1929 at the height of Prohibition, the Carbide and Carbon Building was designed by the sons of legendary Chicago architect Daniel Burnham to resemble a champagne bottle. The black granite base, green terra cotta tower and gold leaf accents make the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago one of the most prominent buildings on Chicago's world-famous skyline.
