who stays in a hard rock hotel
Our striking Art Deco building was a Chicago icon long before it officially received landmark status in 1996.
Built in 1929 at the height of Prohibition, the Carbide and Carbon Building was designed by the sons of legendary Chicago architect Daniel Burnham to resemble a champagne bottle. The black granite base, green terra cotta tower and gold leaf accents make the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago one of the most prominent buildings on Chicago's world-famous skyline.
Today, after a $100 million-plus renovation, the combination of our rich architectural legacy and contemporary amenities provide you with a hotel experience unlike any other in Chicago.
